K holds a degree in theatre and stage acting, a master of fine arts from Akademie der Künste Stuttgart, has done post graduate studies at Kunsthochschule Weissensee.
She currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany and Reykjavik, Iceland and she works in the fields of music, visual arts and performance.
Her four releases of original music have been featured in The Guardian, Rolling Stone, BBC, Kulturspiegel, Süddeutsche Zeitung and her own projects and collaborations have been performed at venues like Konzerthaus Wien, Harpa Reykjavik, Schauspielhaus München, Modern Dans Teater Stockholm, Het Veem Amsterdam and more.
She is currently a member of the SAR (Society Of Artistic Research) and part of two research groups ("Quest" and "A Collective I" w Daisy Hildyard, Rosie Heinrich, Sepideh Karami, Eva Meyer Keller, William Locke Wheeler and Agata Siniarska), where they collaboratively investigate a new collective practice through sound, text and language.
K received several grants and residencies such as Akureyri Art Museum, Artist Association Reykjavik and SYB Beetzerzwaag and her projects and collaborations have been funded or co-funded by Pact Zollverein, Mondriaan Funds, Initiative Musik, Goethe Institut, Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa Berlin, Musikfonds, Tanzpakt and Musicboard Berlin.
K is currently recording a new set of music centering around the themes of water, working on a commissioned piece that evolves around the singing ice and she is collaborating on creating the accompanying materials, such as film and catalogue.
